Nunes Urges Faster Declassification of bin Laden Documents

House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes sent a letter yesterday to top Intelligence Community officials requesting updates and materials related to the trove of documents seized during the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan. The letter, addressed to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, Central Intelligence Agency Director John Brennan, and Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence Marcel Lettre, urges that the documents be rapidly declassified wherever possible in order to “provide insights into al-Qa’ida’s operations, tradecraft, and its relationships with regional nation states, organizations, and people.” The letter is available here
