Nunes Comments on Obama’s Gitmo Plan

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes released the following statement on President Obama’s plan to close the U.S. detention facility at Guantanamo Bay:

“President Obama's determination to move some of the world's most dangerous terrorists to U.S. soil is inexplicable and unacceptable. If the safety and security of the American people is the government's number one priority, then these prisoners must be held in Guantanamo Bay. As Obama makes attempt after misguided attempt to close Gitmo, Congress will continue to resist his ill-conceived plan to relocate these terrorists stateside.”
