Today, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Mike Turner (OH-10) released the following statement about the upcoming resignation of House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party Chairman Mike Gallagher (WI-08):

It has been a true privilege working with Mike both on the House Intelligence Committee and the House Armed Services Committee. Mike’s unique knowledge of the U.S. military and foreign affairs made him the perfect person to lead the House Select Committee on China. As China continues to grow as an adversary, Mike played an integral role in Congress, calling out the Chinese Communist Party’s human rights abuses and rallying support for Taiwan.”
