WASHINGTON, D.C.— Today, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence held a Member Day to hear from fellow members of the House of Representatives on their policy recommendations within the Committee’s jurisdiction. “It was an honor to host HPSCI’s Member Day and have a chance to hear perspectives from our colleagues on both sides of the aisle on topics ranging from biosecurity and the Iran threat to the implementation of FISA Section 702,” said Chairman Crawford. “One of my top priorities as Chairman is to be as transparent as possible. We want to make the space to hear the policy recommendations from across our Conference as we carry out our critical responsibility to conduct oversight of the Intelligence Community. I appreciate the testimony from all our colleagues who joined us today.” “Member Day provides an important opportunity for the Intelligence Committee to receive thoughts and recommendations from lawmakers throughout the House,” said Ranking Member Himes. “I am grateful to my colleagues who took the time to share their perspectives, and I look forward to continued bipartisan collaboration in supporting the mission of the intelligence community while still ensuring that it protects the civil liberties of the American people.” ### |
