Chairman Crawford Statement on the Terror Attack on Manchester Synagogue
Washington,
October 2, 2025
WASHINGTON, D.C.— House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford (R-AR) released the following statement on today's terrorist attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester, UK. “Today’s sickening attack on the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue in Manchester on the holiest day of the year for the Jewish people is cowardly and appalling. My thoughts and prayers are with all those affected and their loved ones. “It is infuriating that we need to reiterate that the Jewish people should be able to exist in their place of worship without the fear of being attacked or killed. This terrorist attack comes on top of reports that German police foiled another attempt by Hamas terrorists planning a separate attack on Jewish institutions. The antisemitic rhetoric that has been spewed by Hamas terrorist sympathizers has provided these terrorist groups with the space to invoke terror on the Jewish people. And that is unacceptable. “I am grateful for the swift response of local police in Manchester and Germany to prevent further devastation. This should serve as another not-so-gentle reminder to the United States about what happens when you allow terrorist agendas any room to operate within your country.” |
