House Intelligence Committee Files December 1, 2011 Mark of Cyber Security Bill

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) today formally filed the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act - H.R. 3523.  This filing of the bill the committee originally marked up on December 1, 2011 is a necessary parliamentary step before proceeding to floor action next week, and reflects only the original actions of the committee at mark up.

 The current discussion draft text was posted to the HPSCI website on April 17.  This discussion draft contains several significant changes to the December 1, 2011 Committee mark that have been proposed by Chairman Rogers and Ranking Member Ruppersberger to be considered when the bill reaches the House floor.

 Chairman Rogers and Ranking Member Ruppersberger remain committed to continuing to work with all interested parties to continue to improve the bill.
