Statement by Chairman Rogers on U.S. and Canada Foiling Terror Plot

“I congratulate the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, who, along with their Canadian counterparts, successfully foiled the latest in a string of terrorist plots against the United States and Canada.  The Intelligence Community briefed me on this case several months ago and kept the committee apprised as the investigation progressed.  The close partnership with our Canadian friends ensured that this plot would never come to fruition.  As the attack in Boston a week ago reminded us, we can never let our guard down.”
