Chairman Rogers Statement on the Benghazi Progress Report "Yesterday, the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and four other House committees provided a progress report to GOP members on the investigations into the terrorist attacks on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012, which left four Americans dead. The report highlights that the Administration continuously denied requests for additional security prior to the attacks, then attempted to hide responsibility for those decisions. The Committees continue their inquiries; and last night, the five Chairmen delivered a letter to President Obama seeking both immediate public release of a cable, bearing Secretary Clinton's signature, denying the Ambassador's request for further security, and further release of the emails proving that the Administration deliberately misled the American people about the nature of the attacks. The American people deserve to see the evidence and know the truth."
