Chairman Rogers & Ranking Member Ruppersberger Statement on President Obama’s Announcement on Cyber Security

“We agree with the President that increasing cyber security of both private sector and government systems is a top priority for the United States.  Recent cyber-attacks against U.S. entities put at risk the personal information of millions of Americans, but these recent attacks are only the tip of the iceberg.  Since 2011, the House of Representatives has sent two cyber bills to the Senate, but the Senate has thus far failed to take action.  We urge the Senate to move quickly on this issue to ensure the safety and security of all Americans.”
