National Intelligence Enterprise Subcommittee Chair Austin Scott Visits NSA Georgia

WASHINGTON, D.C.— House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Subcommittee on the National Intelligence Enterprise Chair Austin Scott (GA-08) toured NSA Georgia (NSAG) at Fort Eisenhower in Augusta, Georgia. While there, he was briefed on continuity of operations and resilience efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene which significantly impacted the area late last year. Chairman Scott also received intelligence briefings and met with U.S. Army Cyber Command, which is also headquartered at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.

“Worldwide intelligence support starts right here in Georgia,” said Chairman Scott. “It was great to meet the servicemembers and civilians at NSA Georgia and see them execute their mission to maintain our national security. These are great Americans working to keep our world safe.”

NSAG conducts time-sensitive operations for tactical, operational, and national-level indications and warning requirements which support global and regional security objectives. NSAG also employs capabilities and expertise required to harden and defend national security systems. It specializes in working closely with military customers to understand their operations, their requirements, and their culture to ensure that signals intelligence is tailored and responsive to the needs of the warfighter.
