WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement on the anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s death:
“One year ago today, our nation suffered a profound tragedy with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. As we mark this solemn anniversary, our hearts remain heavy, and our prayers continue for his wife, Erika, his children, and all who loved him. Charlie was a defining figure who shaped a generation of conservative thought, giving voice to millions of young Americans across the country. His impact, leadership, and dedication to open dialogue should endure. The senseless act of political violence that took his life served as a dark reminder of the dangers when we dehumanize political adversaries.
Our nation stands at a critical juncture where we must decide what values will guide the United States going forward. History makes clear that we cannot allow hatred or violence to define our public square. Today, we honor Charlie’s memory by renewing our commitment to a peaceful, strong, and principled future.”
